Still one of my favourite slow jigging rods

I've put a lot of hours on the Hot Spot now and it has held up very well. The tip still gives excellent control over the jig and the progressive action makes fighting fish very smooth.

The spiral Fuji guides were something I wasn't used to before buying it, but under load the setup makes a lot of sense. Very solid rod and one I keep taking back out.

Strong but not heavy

That's what I like about it. It doesn't feel like a heavy powerful rod until you actually need the power.

Very enjoyable to fish with.

A big improvement over my previous rod

I bought the Hot Spot mainly because I wanted something more comfortable for long slow jigging sessions.

After a few trips the difference was obvious. Better control of the jig, less fatigue and a much smoother feel when the blank is under load.

Really nice setup with an overhead reel

The trigger reel seat and spiral guides make a very comfortable setup with my overhead reel. Everything feels well thought out.

Package arrived quickly and in perfect condition too.

Hot Spot 150

Using the 150 and really enjoying it. Sensitive enough to work lighter jigs properly but still has surprising power when loaded.

Love the progressive blank

It bends very naturally through the fight instead of suddenly locking up. That makes it much easier to keep constant pressure on the fish.

I've used quite a few slow jigging rods and this one feels very refined.

Very good finish

Clean finish, quality Fuji hardware and a really nice action. Nothing to complain about.

Comfortable for long sessions

I've done several full days of slow jigging with it and it doesn't beat you up. That's probably what I like most about the Hot Spot.

The rod feels light, the trigger grip is comfortable and you still have enough power to put pressure on a good fish.

Very precise with the jig

The flexible tip gives really good feedback and makes it easy to control the jig. I've used it in different depths and it always feels predictable.

The progressive action is also really nice once a fish loads the rod.

Good quality rod

Nice blank, good Fuji components and comfortable grip. Mine also arrived very well protected.

Very well balanced

What impressed me most is the balance between the soft tip and the power lower down. You can work the jig without fighting the rod all day, but when you hook something better there is plenty left in reserve.

Hot Spot 200 is a great all-rounder

I've been fishing the 200 for quite a while now and it has become one of my regular slow jigging setups. It handles a 200 g jig beautifully and the progressive blank makes it very easy to stay connected with the lure.

Once a fish is on, there's much more power in the middle of the blank than you would expect.

Light and very responsive

Light in the hand, responsive tip and enough backbone when a decent fish hits. Very happy with it.

The spiral guides work really well

This was my first slow jigging rod with a spiral guide setup and I've been impressed. The rod feels very stable under load and everything stays nicely controlled during the fight.

Great action

Really like the progressive action. Easy to work the jig and very comfortable in the hand.

Excellent slow jigging rod

Very nice rod for slow jigging. The tip works the jig really well and the blank loads progressively when a fish takes it. Plenty of power further down the rod when you need it.
