Years later, still a great slow jigging rod

I've had the Hot Spot S for a long time now and it still does exactly what I want.

The flexible tip gives good control of the jig, the progressive blank keeps pressure smooth during the fight and there's plenty of strength lower down when the fish decides to stay deep.

It's one of those rods I know so well now that I don't really think about it anymore. I just fish.

Great balance

Really nice with a spinning reel. Light in the hand, smooth action and enough backbone when needed.

Shipping was fast and very well packed too.

Still one of my favourites

There are rods you buy and use occasionally, and rods that always seem to end up on the boat.

For me the Hot Spot S is definitely the second kind.

The 300S has serious power

I went for the heavier model for deeper water and larger jigs.

There's a lot of power in the middle section, but it still keeps the progressive feel I wanted. Had a long fight with a good fish last summer and the rod never felt harsh or unpredictable.

Solid rod

Well made, comfortable and powerful. No complaints after plenty of use.

Very easy to fish all day

I've done some long sessions with it and fatigue is minimal. Light, balanced and smooth under load.

Good control of the jig

The progressive tip makes small movements very easy to control. Really nice feedback for slow jigging.

A rod I trust now

Had a fish really test the 200S close to the boat and the rod handled it beautifully.

Since that day I've stopped worrying about whether it has enough power. You just fish and let the blank do its job.

Very good finish

Nice Fuji components, clean build and comfortable EVA. Package arrived in perfect condition.

Light but definitely not weak

That's probably what surprised me most. It feels very light until a good fish loads the blank, then you realise how much reserve power there is.

The 150S suits me perfectly

I've used the 150S for quite a few trips now. Sensitive enough to keep good contact with the jig but still plenty of power through the middle of the blank.

It quickly became one of my regular setups.

Nice progressive action

The tip works the jig very nicely and the rod loads smoothly when a fish takes. Very happy with it.

Love the spinning setup

I wanted a slow jigging rod for a spinning reel and the Hot Spot S was exactly what I was looking for. Good balance and a lot more power than it first feels.

Really comfortable slow jigging rod

Very light in the hand and the progressive action makes working the jig feel natural. Really enjoyable rod.
