Maverick

After a full season the thing I appreciate most is the combination of casting ability and control.

It's a powerful shore rod, but it still communicates what the lure is doing. On a long day that matters because you're not just blindly throwing heavy tackle.

I've had a couple of fish on it that made all those casts worthwhile.

Big rod, clean finish and very good balance. Arrived quickly and extremely well protected.

Bought it specifically for fishing from shore where casting distance really matters.

The first good fish I hooked ran hard along the beach and the rod gave me plenty of control without feeling overly stiff. That's exactly the sort of fight I bought it for.

Long casts, good power and comfortable for the size. Very happy with the build quality.

Really impressive casting rod. Plenty of power but still enough sensitivity to stay connected to the lure.

The 10-foot length gives me exactly the reach I wanted and it still feels responsive when working the lure.
