One of those rods you trust very quickly

I've had several good fish on it now and the feeling is always the same.

It keeps everything stable, gives you enough sensitivity to stay connected to what's happening and has the power when the fight gets more serious. After a few trips it already feels like a rod I've owned for years.

Excellent build

Fuji guides, comfortable EVA and a very solid blank. Shipping was fast and the packaging was excellent.

A lot more versatile than I expected

I originally bought it for one specific technique, but it has ended up getting used for trolling and live bait too.

That's probably what I like most about the McFly. It's specialist enough to do its main job properly without being a one-trick rod.

Acid version feels great under load

When the rod loads hard everything stays controlled. Plenty of backbone but still enough feel to know what's happening.

Very versatile rod

I've used it for live bait and some trolling as well as kite fishing. Very solid setup.

Made for kite fishing

Good balance, serious power and very stable line control. Exactly what I wanted for my kite setup.
