Kraken Toy

After a full season with it, the sensitivity is still what impresses me most.

You can work the egi very precisely, feel small changes and pick up touches that would be very easy to miss with a less sensitive rod. The 8'6" length also gives me the casting reach I want from shore.

Simple rod to enjoy and one I would happily choose again.

I've used it for some pretty long shore sessions and never found it tiring.

That's important for me because sometimes the squid don't cooperate until the last half hour.

What I like most is the connection you have with the lure.

Small movements are easy to transmit and you get a lot of information back through the rod. Very precise setup.

Nice finish, good guides and comfortable in the hand. Shipping was quick and the rod arrived very well protected.

Had one of those calm evenings where everything suddenly switched on just before sunset.

Caught several squid in a short window and the Kraken Toy was a pleasure to use. Light, sensitive and very precise when working the egi.

It's become a rod I really look forward to fishing with.

I've had several squid barely touch the egi rather than properly attack it, and this rod makes those little contacts much easier to notice.

That's probably the biggest improvement over my previous eging rod.

Very light feel and a sensitive tip. The rod makes it easy to understand what's happening with the egi.

The 8'6" length works very well for the kind of shore fishing I do. Good casting and excellent control of the egi once it's in the water.

Really impressed by the sensitivity. Even very soft touches are easy to pick up.
