I've put quite a few trips on this rod now and it's still the one I want with me when GT are the target.

It casts large lures well, the fast action gives good control on the retrieve and once you're connected there's a lot of power available lower in the blank.

I've caught enough good fish on it now that I trust it completely. That's probably more important to me than any individual specification.

With PE8-10 gear the whole setup feels very balanced. Plenty of power when you really need to stop a fish.

Powerful, fast and dependable. Does exactly what I bought it for.

Hooked a very good fish late in the afternoon after hours of casting.

I was already tired before the fight even started, but the rod gave me a lot of confidence when the fish really started pulling. Strong through the middle and lower section without feeling completely unforgiving.

One of the best sessions I've had in a long time.

I've mainly been using it with larger poppers and it handles them exactly as I hoped.

The rod recovers quickly and doesn't feel vague when you're trying to put movement into a big lure.

Excellent Fuji components, comfortable grip and a really clean finish. Mine arrived perfectly protected.

The thing I like most is the transition from the more responsive tip into the powerful lower part of the rod.

You can work a popper properly and then, when a fish eats it, the rod completely changes character. Had one GT turn straight toward structure and being able to lean hard on the rod made all the difference.

That fish alone made me very happy I bought it.

The fast action works big lures very nicely and there's a serious amount of power once the rod loads.

Not the lightest setup I own obviously, but for what it's designed to do I'm very happy with it.

A lot of power in this blank. Beautiful finish too.

Exactly the sort of rod I wanted for throwing big poppers. Fast, powerful and still comfortable enough to keep casting when the fishing is slow.
