Bullfighter

I wanted to give the rod a proper amount of time on the water before leaving a review. After quite a few trips with it, I'm very happy.

What I like most is that you can cast for a long time without completely wearing yourself out, but once you hook into a big fish you immediately feel how much power the rod has. I've mainly been throwing larger poppers and stickbaits and it handles them really well.

I've also had a couple of long fights and the action helps you keep steady pressure on the fish without beating you up too much. No issues so far and I'm really enjoying fishing it.

I've fished it a few times now and I'm very happy with it. Feels solid, casts great and the finish is excellent. I'd definitely buy it again.

I fish the Bullfighter 170 and for my style of fishing it feels really well balanced. I normally throw poppers and stickbaits and the rod loads up nicely on the cast.

Where it has impressed me most, though, is fighting fish. The action lets the rod do a lot of the work instead of beating you up, and when you need to put more pressure on the fish there is still plenty of backbone left. After a few trips with it, I can definitely see why the Bullfighter has such a good reputation.

I've fished it quite a bit this season and so far it's been excellent. Casts well, handles fish nicely and gives you a lot of confidence when things get serious. The components also feel very good quality.

Muy contento con la compra. Buenos materiales, buenos acabados y pescando transmite muchísima confianza. Poco más que decir. Una pasada de caña.

Llevo varios meses pescando con la Bullfighter 200, principalmente haciendo popping de atún, y después de bastantes salidas puedo decir que estoy muy contento con ella. Lo que más me gusta es que tiene mucha potencia pero no se siente como una caña excesivamente dura o pesada. Puedes estar bastante tiempo lanzando sin acabar destrozado y durante el combate la caña trabaja muy bien.

He pescado con poppers y stickbaits grandes y carga muy bien en el lance. También he tenido ya algún combate largo con buenos atunes y es ahí donde realmente notas la reserva de potencia que tiene. Cuando necesitas apretar responde, pero al mismo tiempo la acción de la caña ayuda bastante y hace el combate más cómodo.

Los acabados también me parecen muy buenos y después de varios meses de uso sigue perfecta. Para el tipo de pesca que hago, probablemente volvería a elegir la misma.

La calidad de la caña es muy buena y se nota nada más tenerla en la mano. El problema en mi caso es que compré una Bullfighter demasiado potente para el tipo de pesca que hago normalmente.

Con señuelos grandes y cuando entra un pez serio funciona perfectamente, pero para mis jornadas habituales, con señuelos algo más ligeros y peces medianos, me resulta más caña de la que necesito. Seguramente habría estado mucho más cómodo con una Bullfighter de menor potencia.

No es que esté descontento con la calidad, pero si volviera a comprar elegiría otro modelo dentro de la gama.

Really good rod. I've been fishing it all season and I like it more every time I use it. Comfortable enough to cast for hours, quality components and plenty of confidence when you've got a big fish on the other end. Definitely recommend it.

I bought the Bullfighter 160 Travel mainly because I fly quite a bit for fishing trips and wanted something easier to travel with. So far it's been a great choice. It packs down nicely, feels solid when fishing and has plenty of backbone when you hook a good fish. Very happy with how it performs.

I have the 250 and use it mainly for heavy popping. What I like most is the confidence it gives you when you hook into a big fish. When a tuna goes deep and you really need to lean on it, the rod handles the pressure very well and you can feel there is still plenty of power left in the blank.

I expected a rod built for this kind of fishing to feel much stiffer and more tiring, but it really surprised me. I've had a few long fights with it and the action makes a big difference, especially when the tuna goes deep and starts working under the boat.

There's plenty of power when you need it, but you don't feel like you're fighting the rod as well as the fish.

I've fished quite a few popping rods over the years and this has become one of my favorites. It has plenty of backbone without feeling heavy or cumbersome. It throws big poppers really well and once you hook into a good tuna the rod loads up beautifully. Great balance between power and comfort.
